Through the ASEI/PDSI approach, SMASSE Project has had a positive impact on skills, knowledge and attitudes in the teaching and learning of mathematics and science. There has been significant improvement in performance in these subjects, in the districts where SMASSE has been in operation during the project period. The way forward for SMASSE is on two fronts:

7-1 Within the Country
To propagate its outputs, SMASSE shall:

• Provide INSET for all mathematics and science teachers throughout the country
• Develop more activities to actualize ASEI
• Strengthen and maintain links with stakeholders in mathematics and science education

7-2 In Regional Co-operation
As a forerunner in the African region, SMASSE Project shall participate in South-South co-operation through Counterpart Training Programs in Africa and beyond.
